With over 2 million visitors each year, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is a go to destination for locals and visitors checking out the state of Ohio. Located in Liberty Township, it’s a short drive from the actual city of Columbus. Columbus Aquarium Exhibits
The shores region hosts several great exhibits for you to explore including:
- Manatee Coast – Opened over 20 years ago, it’s the most popular exhibit featuring manatees, pelicans, stingrays, sea turtles, and a wide range of exotic fish. The indoor facilities boasts a 190,000 gallon tank and is only one of a few facilities in the US to have manatee.
- Discovery Reef – Hosting one of the largest coral reefs in the United States, you can get a taste of the underwater sea with sharks, eels, seahorses, and fish.
- Touch a Sea Star – If you want a true experience of aquatic life, head over to this exhibit where you can touch a sea star or sea urchin
