Devils Lake State Park Camping – Wisconsin

Wisconsin’s most visited state park is also home to some of the best camping you’ll find in the state. Located in the city of Baraboo near Madison, summer time brings in crowds to enjoy the beaches, hiking, and even rock climbing. For those planning to stay the night, there is tent and rv camping where you get 360 degree views of bluffs and wilderness, making this a top campsite destination.

There are three main campground areas and one group campsite for you to choose from.

Northern Lights Campground
With roughly 130 campsites in this area, there are a wide range of choices. From electrical hookups for rvs, to open tent areas or forest walk-ins, there is a little something for everyone. This campground is ideal for RVs looking for shaded wooded area to set up shop. Showers and restrooms are available.

Quartzite Campground
100 campsite are available here. Almost the entire area is an open grassy area with dispersed trees here and there for some shade. Most RVs like to book a reservation at Quartzite due to the ease of access. Back in the day this area was a golf course which is why it’s so open. Showers and restrooms are available.

Ice Age Campground
This is the most primitive campsite with half the sites being nestled in the woods. There is a lower and upper section you can choose from (upper is the forested area) and many like to set up their tents in this campground. Showers and restrooms are available.

There are a ton of hiking trails to explore all throughout Devils Lake State Park. In the summer, visitors flock to the beach to enjoy some swimming or kayaking. Happy Camping!
