Downata Hot Springs – Downey, Idaho

The perfect place for a family vacation, Downata Hot Springs boasts an outdoor pool, water slides, a water playground, and massage services. Located in Downey, Idaho, this hot spring feels like a summer camp paradise for adults and children alike.

Hot Springs

Downata Hot Springs provides guests with multiple areas to soak, play, and enjoy the hot springs mineral water.

There is a large outdoor pool with multiple water slides, a basketball hoop, and a pool log, depending on the season. Adjacent to the main pool, you will find two hot pools, which have been upgraded to have jets and color-changing lights for night swims.

For parents bringing young children who may not be strong swimmers yet, don’t worry, there is also a water playground! Additionally, Red Cross Swim Classes are offered during the summer. Children as young as 6 months can participate in swim camp, group lessons, or private lessons.

Lodging

Downata Hot Springs is reminiscent of a 1980s summer camp. There is a range of lodging options, and for guests wishing to bring their furry friends, make sure to check which accommodations allow pets.

Amenities

Depending on the season, Downata Hot Springs has different retreat packages, activities, and massage services. During the winter, snowmobile retreats, tubing, and winter scout retreats are available. Moving into the warmer months, birdwatching, ATV excursions, pool party packages are offered.

There is also a poolside restaurant and dining room as well as a snack bar for whenever you, or your family, decides to eat.

While the dining room requires a reservation, you can stop by the snack bar at any time. There are multiple menus offering meals ranging anywhere from a hamburger to a ribeye steak.

In addition to these options, Downata has meal deals bundling pizza and pool passes, on Friday and Saturdays, as well as steak and soak deals for two.
