Artesian Bore Baths – Lightning Ridge, Australia

As the Great Artesian Basin produces thermal springs throughout Australia, another popular bore bath that has attracted attention in the last hundred years is Lighting Ridge. As the water is a perfect 42 degrees Celsius, Australia has made it a point to conserve the Basin to make sure it’s natural healing minerals can be used for another hundred years to come.

Lighting Ridge Bore Baths has been open for almost 60 years now and has had thousands of people from all over the world come to relax in these thermal pools. They are open to the public free of charge and run 24 hours a day. Locals also enjoy coming here and socializing as they take in the healing minerals from the Artesian Basin.

There are also some amenities at Lighting Ridge including showers and toilets. The location is only minutes from town where there are great restaurants and shopping to complete your day. If you plan on staying in NSW for a while, this hot springs and bore baths are the perfect place to check out.

When it comes to therapeutic healing, bore baths have become the most popular choice. They are starting to reduce flow so artesian springs are being capped to try and control the flow of water.
