How to Say OK in French

From time to time, especially during a conversation, you may have reasons to say ok or okay. This is to show acknowledgment of what someone is saying or that you are in agreement or approval. The common phrase for ok in French is – D’accord.

D’accord – This is the most common way of saying ok in French. When you say ok, it means that you acknowledge what someone is telling you. This French phrase may also be used to express approval, agreement, or just as a way of saying everything is fine with you.

What’s more, the nice thing about “ok” is that the phrase is really versatile and can be used in different situations. Learning ok in French will come in really handy and can be a great way to shorten a response or end a conversation. As you move about the city, you are likely to hear people using this French phrase a lot.

Are you ok? – Êtes-vous d’accord?

Okay, thanks for helping me. – D’accord, merci de m’aider.

I am Ok. Thank you for asking. – Je suis d’accord. Merci de demander.

Are you okay to go out today? – Êtes-vous d’accord pour sortir aujourd’hui?
