Summer Lake Hot Springs – Paisley, Oregon

Characterized by its complex water chemistry, the Summer Lake Hot Springs in Paisley, Oregon is hidden inside an old, rustic bathhouse. Featuring overnight accommodations, clothing-optional night soaks, and 24-hour access to the pools for registered visitors, this site is sure to soothe help you unwind.

Hot Springs

Summer Lake Hot Springs features four natural springs rich in geothermally heated, mineral-rich groundwater. The temperature of the main, indoor spring is around 124°F.

A bathhouse has been constructed over the largest spring and the water temperature is regulated to hover around 113°F. The three outdoor hot springs temperatures range between 106°F and 118°F.

The water is rich in minerals, such as sodium, potassium, chlorine, and sulfur. There are additional minerals in smaller quantities, such as calcium and fluorine, that help gives this water its therapeutic properties.

The pools are available from 9 AM to 7 PM for daytime visitors, while guests who are registered are given 24-hour access. For those who prefer to soak more naturally, the pools are clothing-optional after 9 pm, but no children are allowed.

Note: Bring your own water. Your only other option is the naturally occuring mineral water.

Amenities and Accommodations

The resort is spread over 145 acres of land and follows sustainable and environment-friendly practices. The resort features low voltage lights, geothermally radiated pools, solar power, and recycled wood. Additionally, no VOC paints have been used on-site.

Multiple workshops and activities are held throughout the year such as yoga, writing, dance, photography, and astronomy.

There are several lodging accommodations available for guests looking to stay overnight including:

  • Guesthouses
  • Cabins
  • Duplexes
  • The Ranch House
  • Campgrounds and RV sites

Children who are 6 years or less gain free entry. Guests trying to stay during the weekends and during holidays must book their accommodations for at least two days. Cellphone service is limited and there are no phones or TVs, but wifi is available in some areas.
